BSP holds golf for a cause

MANILA, Philippines - The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) charity golf annual tournament presented by Union Bank fires off Oct. 24 at the Forest Hills Golf Club in Antipolo.

The event aims to raise funds for the Tulong Dunong Foundation, which gives scholarships to less privileged but deserving students, said organizer Blue Eagle Alumni Foundation, headed by BSP Governor Amando Tetangco.

Sponsored by Metrobank and Banco de Oro, Tulong Dunong is the fifth beneficiary under the BEAF program.  It donated to Foundation for the Advancement of Surgical Education (FASE), Ateneo Jesuit Infirmary, San Vicente Elementary School and Makabata School Foundation.

Robinsons Bank, BDO, Standard Chartered, Rural Bankers Association, Radiowealth Finance, One Network Bank, Bankers Association of the Phils., Phil. Business Bank, Innovative Investors, All Asian Countertrade, RCBC, Citibank, Security Bank, Autohub, PNB, Pangasinan Five Star Bus, Land Bank, Pagcor, PSC, East West Bank, DBP, Andoks and Product Providers are backers.

“Assisting the less fortunate people is what drives this group.  It has been our advocacy from the start and will remain true and steadfast in the years to come,” said tournament director Greg Cancio.
