Cagers to join Stags tilt

MANILA, Philippines - A slew of former San Sebastian cage stars, headed by Ronald Pascual of the recently crowned PBA Philippine Cup champion San Miguel Beer, will spice up the San Sebastian College-Recoletos Manila’s fifth Stags Run tomorrow at the Plaza Rajah Sulayman in Baywalk, Roxas Boulevard.

Pascual has confirmed his participation in the annual race staged to raise funds for SSC’s involvement in missionary work here and abroad. The event is also held in conjunction with the school’s 74th founding anniversary celebration.

Calvin Abueva of Alaska Milk and Ian Sangalang of Purefoods, who with Pascual powered the Stags’ to the 2009 NCAA basketball crown, have also lent their support to the weeklong celebration culminating in the Stags run.

Registration is still ongoing in the race, which promises more fun by tweaking it a bit with the insertion of “Color Run,” and interested individuals or parties may contact Analissa Tanquiling at 734-8931 to 39 (loc 174) or Joselito Gando at 998-4625.

Organizers announced that on-site registrants will be accepted until 5 a.m. in the race divided into three categories – 3k, 5k and 10k – and will be flagged off at 6 a.m.
