Hobe Bihon rallies past PL Antipolo in DELeague

MANILA, Philippines - Ramsay Williams led a huge second quarter rally to lift defending champion Hobe Bihon to an 88-76 victory over PL Antipolo at the start of the four-team, single round-robin semifinals of the third DELeague Kap. Cup Thursday night at the Marikina Sports Center.

Williams scored 10 of his team-high 15 points in the second period, turning a 13-17 deficit to a 41-35 lead. Hobe Bihon continued its onslaught in the third period where it posted the biggest lead of the game at 63-48.

Mark Pangilinan tried to rally PL Antipolo back in contention when he scattered 20 of his game-high 25 points in the final canto but failed to lead his team to victory.

Skyforce, meanwhile, handed Sta. Lucia East Grand Mall its first setback in the tournament, 78-74,  in the other semis match on Thursday.

Marlou Aquino diplayed the brilliance of his PBA days as he scored six of his 13 markers in the final period to help hold off a late rally by Sta. Lucia, where he played for in the first two seasons of the league supported by Marikina Mayor Del De Guzman.

Clifford Rodriguez topscored for Skyforce with 18 markers and Mark Caceres added 12.

Sta. Lucia was led by Don Camaso who finished with 16 points.
