MANILA, Philippines - Valley scored a rousing sweep over Manila Southwoods to catch idle Canlubang at the top with a four-of-four record  in Division 1 even as Alabang seized the upper hand in Division 3 after Week 6 of the men’s Federation Golf League matches in various venues recently.

The Antipolo-based Valley golfers improved their win-loss record to 4-0 with a dominating performance against the hapless Southwoods team that slumped to its fourth consecutive loss and tied Canlubang and Forest Hills at 12 points. Forest Hills posted a pair of victories over Sta. Elena to improve to 4-2.

Alabang showed the way in Group 3 after earning 1.5 points in its match with Mimosa while Riviera wrested back the lead in Division 1 after upending Eastridge, 3-2.

Alabang jacked up its total to 10 points but Mimosa continued to put up a fight against its Metro Manila rivals by drawing Alabang at home for seven points like league newcomer Eagle Ridge, which also gained 1.5 points on a win and draw against a struggling Tagaytay Highlands side.

Defending champion Wack Wack took the first half of its matchup with Sherwood to tie Eastridge for second in Division 1 at nine points.
