STAR Group demolishes Victoria Court
MANILA, Philippines - STAR Group of Publications outclassed Victoria Court AMH, 107-67, to open its title-retention drive on an impressive note in the MBL Corporate Cup 2 basketball championship at Lyceum gym in Intramuros over the weekend.
Jhong Bondoc, Randel Reducto and three others churned out double-digit scores for the STAR Group, which seized control early, 26-13, sat on a 62-33 cushion at the turn before cruising to the one-sided win.
Bondoc and Reducto finished with 16 points apiece, Niño Sangalang added 12, Ver Roque contributed 11 and Niño Marquez had 10 markers. Cris Corbin, Gio Coquilla and Mario Geocada added nine points apiece to underscore STAR Group’s balanced offensive sock.
