Guarin to run in ME desert

MANILA, Philippines – Ultra-marathoner Cesar Guarin, who has just returned home from an 80-day, 1,820 km run from Finland to the United Kingdom, is preparing for the most difficult challenge in his global marathon – a 1,265km run in the deserts of the Middle East in January.

Guarin has just completed the Finland-UK leg, the sixth stage of a global run he vows to complete to become the first Filipino to run around the world.

GMA Network, Inc. led welcome rites for Guarin, the first Filipino global runner and “Father of Ultramarathon” in the Philippines.
