DLSU-Dasma posts 5th win in Sandugo tilt

MANILA, Philippines – De La Salle University-Dasmariñas (DLSU-D) continued to dominate the women’s division of the Sandugo-Collegiate Athletic League, beating University of Sto. Tomas, 72-56, for its fifth straight victory.

Adamson University picked up its fourth win in six games as it routed Don Bosco Technical College, 76-42, to remain in second while College of St. Benilde is in third with a 3-1 mark.

UST dropped to 2-6 but remained in the race for a spot in the next round as rival DBTC slid to 0-6.

In the men’s division of the league backed by Philippine Sports commissioner Akiko Guevarra, PC Gilmore, Phiten, Gatorade, Uratex, Platinum Fitness, and Primovit Multi-vitamins, Informatics-A rolled to a 94-70 romp over DBTC for a 5-1 mark, behind St. Benilde’s 5-0 record.

Trinity University of Asia is in third with a 4-2 slate while Colegio de San Lorenzo closed out its elims assignment with a 4-3 record.

Emilio Aguinaldo College is at 3-2 followed by University of Asia & Pacific (1-4), DBTC (1-5) and Informatics-B (0-6).

Meanwhile, league organizers LAN Sports & Events Inc. will hold an organizational meeting for the proposed boys’ high school division on Sept. 6 at the Metro Club in Makati with the junior division conference tentatively set to start Nov. 11.
