MANILA, Philippines - After giving away a brand-new condominium unit and a dozen of brand-new cars, Metro Card Club is putting up a P2 million purse for its patrons in a free-to-enter poker tournament.
Dubbed as “2M for 2M: 2Million for 2Months Metro Freeroll,” the event offers players the chance to win a share of the P2 million pot by accumulating a total of 200 hours of playing in Metro’s cash game tables – running 24 hours a day – from July 6 to Sept. 5. All those who could complete will be given a ticket to the 2M for 2M Freeroll tourney in September.
Earlier this year, Jessie Leonares played 300 hours for three months, bested a field of 103 qualifiers and walk away with a brand-new condo unit at the Light Residences in Edsa-Pioneer.
Last week, Maricar de los Santos outlasted 125 others to win the Metro Rainy Days Freeroll and took home a brand-new Mazda 2. She also earned the distinction of being the first female player to win the Metro Freeroll.
Those who want to take a shot at the P2 million pot would simply have to get a timecard at the Metro’s reception area and begin playing cash game.
