Creality adventure jazzes up All-Star

MANILA, Philippines - In a parallel event to the 2011 PBA All-Star Week, PBA stars and Mutyang Pilipinas candidates compete in the initial edition of the Creality Race Adventure in Boracay this weekend.

“This is the Philippine version of the US reality show ‘Amazing Race’,” said Cre8 Events Asia president and chief executive officer Carlo Quevada during the official launch of the event at the Richmonde Hotel Eastwood Mall on Monday.

Cre8 Events Asia was the same group that laid down activities to be undertaken by the PBA for its Boracay All-Star festivities.

Quevada said the Creality Race Adventure is a special event they’re holding as a special attraction to the All-Star Extravaganza.

Nine teams, each composed of two PBA players and one Mutya ng Pilipinas candidate, will take on various physical and mental challenges in the two-day adventure race starting on May 21.

Cash prizes, plaques and giveaways await the top three teams of the race supported by L Time Studio, Puma Time, PC Gilmore Computer Center, Platinum Executive Gym and Spa Center, Island Souvenir, Casa Pilar and Epic Bar.

The Creality Race, with Patricia Bermudez-Hizon serving as event host, features 15 pit stops where teams will compete in tasks testing their agility, speed, strength and wit.

Gawad Kalinga is among the beneficiaries of the innovative event.
