MANILA, Philippines - The 11th Domingo M. Guevara Sr. Memorial golf tournament gets going Friday at the West Course of the Wack Wack Golf and Country Club in Mandaluyong City.
Three brand new cars – a Kia, Mazda and Toyota – and P150,000 cash from Guevent Insurance Broker Co., UCPB General Insurance and businessman Alex Prieto will be staked as hole-in-one prizes.
Tournament director Benjamin Guevara said that some 280 are expected to participate in the annual event.
The GIBC, Konig Wheels, HBI, Marie France, Svenson, Facial Care, The Plaza, RFC, Jorge Yulo, Holland Blooms and Dusit Hotel head the roster of backers, according to event coordinator Pia Guevara. Other supporters are Avis, Megaworld, PLDT/Smart Foundation, Filinvest, Seed Capital, Stradcom, Yahoo Philippines, Malayan Insurance, Filoil, Shangri-la Makati, Bodegos Hidalgos, Century Properties, Global Noble International, Ace Water Spa, Yats Wine Cellar, La Gitana, Dine Asia Magazine, King of the Blues Ateneo High School Class “71, Basic Taxi and Prime Beef.
