PSN holds charity run on May 15

MANILA, Philippines - Operation Damayan, the humanitarian arm of the STAR Group of Publications, will hold a fund-raising run dubbed the Pilipino Star Ngayon Fun Run for a Cause on May 15 with a banner field expected to see action at the SM Mall of Asia grounds in Pasay City.

The event, set at 5 a.m., will be held to raise funds for this year’s Adopt-A-School project via “Bigay Todo sa Pagtakbo” with proceeds to go to the reconstruction of the San Isidro Elementary School in Naguilian, La Union, one of the hardest hit schools in the north by Typhoon Pepeng last year.

Events on tap are 3k, 5k and 10k with fees pegged at P350 (3k and 5k) and P400 (10k), inclusive of a limited edition of Pilipino Star Ngayon Run singlet and race bib with timing chips and a donation to Operation Damayan.

Listup is ongoing at the R.O.X. Bonifacio High Street, Chris Sports outlets at SM MOA, SM North Edsa, SM Megamall and SM Sucat. Onsite registration will also be available at SM Mall of Asia grounds on May 1 and 2 from 6:30 a.m. to 9 a.m.

Participants may also register online via www.runningmate.ph/psngayon. Deadline for listup is on May 12.

Cash prizes and gift packs await the top finishers of the race, backed by Globe, SM Mall of Asia, San Mig Coffee, Diamond Hotel, Pan Pacific, The Real Bank, Microtel, R.O.X., Chris Sports, Top Nine, Premier and media partners The Philippine STAR, PM, the Freeman and Banat.
