KFC renews support to PBA RP Cup

MANILA, Philippines - Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) has renewed its support to the Philippine Basketball Association as presenter of the pro league’s 2009-10 Philippine Cup for the second consecutive year.

Returning to play a major role in the PBA’s most awaited All-Filipino tournament this year, KFC vice president for marketing Chacha Juinio said KFC will up the ante in its support of pro basketball.

Juinio announced that KFC will introduce new fan activities and game attractions during this year’s Philippine Cup.

“Our partnership with the PBA which started last year with the 2008-09 KFC PBA Philippine Cup has brought us only positive experiences and a lot of growth. KFC cuts across all generations from the young to the young at heart, much like the PBA. We know that the PBA is home to one of the most loved sports, especially for the youth and it made sense for us to be more relevant and build on what they love,” Juinio said.

Beisdes marking highlight moments in the sport such as the ‘KFC Delivery Assist” and “KFC Taste the Game”, KFC is also providing fun fan activities such as “Bucket Shootout” during dead ball situations. “There are more exciting things in store with our involvement in the PBA this year,” Juinio added.

KFC also awards outstanding player-achievers at the end of the tournament.

Playing as guest team is Smart Gilas featuring players like Chris Tiu, Japeth Aguilar, Dylan Ababou and Mark Barroca.
