Co scores fifth ace

MANILA, Philippines - Women’s Golf Association of the Phils. (WGAP) president Rio Co made another hole in one at Sta. Elena Golf Club in Laguna Thursday, scoring her fifth ace in seven years.

She used a Honma pitching wedge and an Everio golf ball in acing the 100-yard No. 14 in a flight that included Lily and Nene Chan and Therese Dabao, all members of the Sta. Elena ladies chapter.

Co, who took up the sport in 1996, recorded her first ace on Oct. 28, 2002 at Mt. Malarayat then repeated the feats at Sta. Elena twice on Dec. 24, 2003 and Dec. 2, 2006 before scoring her fourth at Manila Southwoods on May 1, 2007.
