Fajardo enters PBA's 10,000-point club

ANTIPOLO, Rizal – Another feather in June Mar Fajardo’s cap. 

Fajardo became the 19th member of the PBA’s elite 10,000-point club. 

He reached the milestone at the 2:21 mark of the San Miguel Beermen PBA Governors Cup matchup with the NLEX Road Warriors Wednesday at the Ynares Center here.

Five points away from the mark entering the game, the gentle giant posted up and shot a floater over NLEX’s Dave Marcelo, which dropped to the bottom of the basket for his sixth point of the ballgame. 

Fajardo joined the list headlined by Ramon Fernandez, Abet Guidaben, Alvin Patrimonio, Atoy Co, Nelson Asaytono, Philip Cezar, Jojo Lastimosa, Bogs Adornado, Robert Jaworski, Allan Caidic, Norman Black, James Yap, Jerry Codinera, Benjie Paras, Francis Arnaiz, Arwind Santos, Mark Caguioa and Jayson Castro, who made it in May of this year. 

San Miguel and NLEX are battling for the top spot of Group A. 

As of press time, the Road Warriors are leading the Beermen heading to the half.
