DLS-Zobel hosts L Tunes fun run

MANILA, Philippines - The Looney Tunes Active! fun run school tour resumes today at La Salle-Zobel at the Ayala Alabang Village with 30-50 kids and their parents expected to participate.

The fifth leg of the school-hopping running circuit was originally scheduled last weekend but had to be reset due to heavy rain. Today’s race is set at 4:30 p.m. around the school’s Gym 3 (taekwondo gym).

Highlight of the event is a running clinic to be conducted by Rio Dela Cruz, a pro athlete and coach with a 14-year experience in providing training, strength and conditioning programs to athletes, celebrities, students and running enthusiasts. Dela Cruz and his staff will teach students proper stretching and running.

A Warner Bros. project aimed at promoting a healthy and active lifestyle among kids aged 4-12 years old and their parents, the event is backed by Alaska, Timex watches, Nestle Ice Cream, PT Kino, Sterling, JC Lucas, and Advance notebooks.

Meanwhile, registration for the SM MOA fun run, featuring 3K and 5K runs and a 3-on-3 basketball competition on Aug. 30 is on-going.

Fee is pegged at P300 for any of the 3K or 5K runs and P500 for both categories.
