Milo Junior Tennis Cup shifts to Ormoc Nov. 28-30

After the successful completion of its 13th leg in Sta. Cruz, Laguna, the Milo Junior Tennis Cup and Regional Workshop moves to Ormoc City, Leyte for its 14th leg set Nov. 28-30.

On its 12th straight year, the Milo Tennis Cup and Regional Workshop has helped a lot of youth from different parts of the country in developing their skills in tennis. The program is the country’s only mass-based, year-round, professionally administered program that promotes tennis to the youth.

Highlighting the program are the Junior Tennis Cup and the Regional Workshop.

The Junior Tennis Cup is an age-group tournament held over three days. The standard categories for players are 18 and under, 16 and under, 14 and under, 12 and under, and 10 under. The tournaments are sanctioned by the Philippine Tennis Association (Philta), which gives points to the participants to establish their national ranking. This system, in turn, determines the country’s representatives for junior international competitions.
