Rabiya, makakabalik na sa probinsya
Pagkatapos na makoronahan, magkaroon ng hectic schedule at dumaan sa maraming kontrobersya, makakauwi na sa wakas si Miss Universe Philippines 2020 Rabiya Mateo sa kanyang hometown in Iloilo City sa November 12.
Nakahanda na raw ang mga activities ni Rabiya bilang Homecoming Queen sa Iloilo hanggang November 14.
Kasama rito ang isang bonggang motorcade sa city at ang courtesy call niya sa Iloilo City Mayor Jerry P. Treñas, Iloilo Governor Arthur Defensor Sr. and Balasan, Iloilo Mayor Manuel Ganzon at the Iloilo Provincial Capitol. Magkakaroon din siya ng private lunch with Iloilo City Congresswoman Jamjam Baronda.
At siyempre, hindi mawawala ang private moment ni Rabiya kasama ang kanyang pamilya at mga kaibigan.
Kasama rin sa itinerary ni Rabiya ay ang ceremonial lighting of Iloilo City Christmas Parol.
Lumaki sa Balasan, Iloilo si Rabiya at ang Miss Iloilo 2020 pageant ang unang beauty pageant na sinalihan niya na siyang naging daan para mapanalunan niya ang Miss Universe Philippines crown last October.
Concert ni Lea ipalalabas sa broadway best lineup!
Kasama ang 2019 concert ni Lea Salonga sa Australia sa ipapalabas ng PBS para sa Great Performance’s 4th annual Broadway Best lineup ngayong November.
Makakasabay ng concert ni Lea sa lineup ay ang 2012 comedy play ng talkshow host na si James Corden na One Man, Two Guvnors.
Dahil sa COVID-19 pandemic, nagsara ang nga concert venues, pati na ang Broadway at West End. Mapapanood na lang ang live recorded concerts at musicals via online. “Just going to the theater and seeing shows and watching my friends tell stories — it’s heartbreaking to know that I can’t do that for maybe another year. I’m glad we have these to remind us of just a year ago what life was like and maybe bring hope to people that this is what we have to look forward to once the virus is gone.
“This is like a time capsule for me because you see the audience shoulder to shoulder, not wearing masks, screaming and unrestrained in their reactions and responses to whatever is happening on stage,” sey ni Lea.
Sey naman ni Corden: “It was strange to look back at it and just see the roads that professionally and emotionally — in every sense, in every capacity — that I’ve traveled since then. If there there’s any place where you can remind people of what theater’s there for and the joy that it can bring and the importance of it, I certainly welcome that at every point.”
Johnny, tsugi na sa fantastic beasts
Napilitang mag-resign ang Hollywood actor na si Johnny Depp sa ikatlong part ng Fantastic Beasts film pagkatapos niyang matalo sa sinampang libel case laban sa U.K.-based News Group Newspapers na The Sun.
May kinalaman sa demanda ni Depp ang article ng The Sun tungkol sa allegations of assault made by the actor’s ex-wife Amber Heard.
Ayon sa British High Court judge: “The Sun’s allegations, which labeled Depp a ‘wife beater’, were substantially true.”
Naglabas ng official statement si Depp sa pagkawala niya sa third film ng Fantastic Beasts kunsaan ginampanan niya ang role as Grindelwald.
“Firstly, I’d like to thank everybody who has gifted me with their support and loyalty. I have been humbled and moved by your many messages of love and concern, particularly over the last few days.
“Secondly, I wish to let you know that I have been asked to resign by Warner Bros. from my role as Gellert Grindelwald in Fantastic Beasts and I have respected and agreed to that request.
“Finally, I wish to say this. My resolve remains strong and I intend to prove that the allegations against me are false. My life and career will not be defined by this moment in time.”
Ayon sa Warner Bros., ire-recast nila ang role na Grindelwald at tuloy ang pagpapalabas ng movie sa summer 2022.
