Viewing is open to the public. Please continue to pray for the repose of the soul of Mr. Eddie ‘’Manoy ‘’ Garcia even as we now start to celebrate his reunion with the Lord and all his departed love ones.”

Mikee Romero. “Me, his surviving son Erwin, our mother Lilibeth, Brother Nikki and Pareng Ipe,” caption niya sa group photo nila habang nasa gitna ang urn. “At 1am, in front of around 40 immediate family and friends of the Garcia, Lagman and Romero gathered around tito eddie”s mortal body, his cremation process started. Thank you also to tito Ed’s closest friends, Tita Bibeth Orteza, Tirso Cruz III, Ipe Salvador, his Exec Assistant Joe and others who gave their eulogy to the unparalleled 17 times FAMAS awardee (6x best supporting actor and Hall of Famer, 5x best actor and Hall of Famer and 5x best director and Hall of Famer), the legend that might not be equalled again, Mr. Eduardo V. Garcia,” sabi ni Cong. Romeo.

Samantala, nagpahayag din ng pakikiramay ang Chairperson ng Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) Rachel Arenas sa naganap sa actor / director na more than 600 movies pala ang nagawa .

“It is with deep sadness to hear of the passing of a great actor and an icon of the  entertainment industry of the Philippines.  Mr. Eddie Garcia was well respected and loved by many, from the industry to every Filipino home.

“A multi-awarded actor and director, Mr. Garcia’s career spanned seven decades and  more than 600 movies from drama, comedy, rom-com, documentary and the likes.  He was a household name in television due to his portrayal of various roles in dramas and telenovelas.

“We recall vividly his first foray in the movies via the 1949 Manuel Conde Productions’ Siete Infantes de Lara and his directorial debut in the 1961 film Karugtong ng Kahapon.  We fondly remember his moving performance in his last movie, Rainbow Sunset.

“What most people do not know is our Manoy was a Philippine Scout.

With heavy heart, we remember his family in this time of bereavement and commiserate with them. Please know that we will not be where we are today had it not been for Tito Eddie’s contributions.

Tito Eddie, Rest In Peace.”
