ATLANTA — Inangkin ni Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry ang kanyang ikalawang three-point crown habang tinalo ni Indiana Pacers forward Domantas Sabonis si Orlando Magic big man Nikola Vucevic sa final round ng Skills Challenge kahapon sa 2021 NBA All-Star Game.

Nagsalpak si Curry, nakampeon noong 2015, ng 28 points sa final round ng 3-point contest kung saan naikonekta niya ang huling money ball shot (two points) para ungusan si Utah Jazz guard Mike Conley (27 points).

“I could hear whatever crowd was in here, I could hear the temperature rise a little bit,” wika ni Curry sa kanyang final shot. “I knew I had to knock it down. It was a fun battle.”

Pinagharian  naman ni Anfernee Simons ng Portland Trail Blazers ang Slam Dunk competition matapos sapawan si New York Knicks rookie Obi Toppin sa final round.

Sa kanyang final-round dunk ay lumipad si Simons para kunin ang high-bounced ball at isinalpak ang isang one-handed dunk kung saan halos mahalikan niya ang basket.

 “Pretty nervous co-ming in,” ani Simons, may dalawang dunks ngayong season at 15 sa kanyang career. “But a lot of people didn’t know that I can jump pretty high. So I kind of calmed down and just showed my talents.”

Bukod kina Sabonis at Vucevic, ang iba pang sumali sa skills challenge ay sina Dallas Mavericks star Luka Doncic at Phoenix playmaker Chris Paul.
