Laro ng Beermen at Aces mas magiging pisikal: Unahan sa 2-1 lead

MANILA, Philippines - Nagbigay ang Alaska ng 32 fouls na nagresulta sa  20-of-25 free throws ng San Miguel sa Game Two noong Biyernes.

Ito ang isa sa mga bagay na naging dahilan ng 86-100 kabiguan ng Aces sa Beermen sa 2014-2015 PBA Philippine Cup Finals.

“We had some defensive breakdowns, and obviously, 32 fouls (of Alaska) and (San Miguel’s) 22 fouls is not good and we gave them (Beermen) 20-of-25 free throws, and that doesn’t help us win,” ani Alaska coach Alex Compton.

Tatangkain ng Aces at ng Beermen na basagin ang 1-1 pagkakatabla sa ka­nilang best-of-seven cham­pionship series sa Game Three ngayong alas-5 ng hapon sa Smart Ara­neta Coliseum.

Sinabi naman ni San Mi­guel mentor Leo Austria na mas naging pisikal lamang sila sa Game Two kaya sila nakabawi sa Alas­ka.

“I think we got a little more physical this time. Despite the high intensity of their defense, we were able to break it to some extent,” wika ni Austria.

Sa pagresbak ng San Miguel ay naging maba­ngis sina 6-foot-10 June Mar Fajardo, Arwind Santos, Chris Lutz at Chris Ross.

Nakipaglaban si Fajar­do kina 6’9 Sonny Thoss at 6’6 Eric Menk sa sha­ded lane, habang lumaban nang sabayan si Santos kay Calvin Abueva kahit na naputukan sa ulo sa third period.

“We made sure that once June Mar got the ball, panira na agad,” wika ni Austria sa pagbibigay ni­la ng bola kay Fajardo na tumapos na may 15 points at 12 rebounds.
