Sa pinakitang original concept, kumukuti-kutitap sana ang nasabing Parol na hindi nga gumana ang ilaw na nang i-test naman daw niya ay umilaw pero nang actual na, hindi na sumindi. So wala naman sigurong issue ng sabotage?

Anyway, first time daw sa history ng Miss Universe na ginamit ang Parol para sa national costume kung saan pumunta pa pala ang beauty queen sa Pampanga kasama ang kanyang team para magpatulong sa sikat na parol maker na si Eric Quiwa.

Maging ang suot niya ay ni-represent ang Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao. “Miss Universe Philippines National Costume LUZON-- VISAYAS-- LUMABAN” (Fight): The island group of VISAYAS is represented by a body suit with authentic “tattoo designs” embellished with crystals derived from patterns used by the “PINTADOS” who are indigenous peoples found in various islands in this part of the Philippines.

“The tattoo patterns are authentic and based from the manusript “BOXER CODEX” written in 1590.

“The tattoos represent an individual’s journey and a public testimony recounting acts of combat, bravery, and strength, that perfectly represents the courageous and resilient Filipino spirit amidst trials we face in this day and age,” ang description ng designer na si Jearson Demavivas.

Actually, ang lakas ng impact ng nasabing costume ni Catriona na kahit ang Vougue Thailand ay ilang beses itong ini-upload sa kanilang social media account.

Pero may halos katulad na concept ang kandidatang si Miss Mexico.

Anyway, goodluck to Catriona at talagang maraming umaasa na mananalo siya.
