SHOWBIZ NEWS NOW NA! - Boy Abunda (Pilipino Star Ngayon) - June 16, 2018 - 12:00am

“I’m very happy, happy for all the students because they all got super excited when they found out that they will be performing twice,” bungad ni Teacher Georcelle.

“Kids now are so into social media, and I said why not involve social media in our program? That’s why we’ve created what we called G-Force Project Live. This is a 2-hour session for six days and the last twenty minutes, that’s the time we go on air live on our Facebook page. The kids now, these are the digital age. The kind of parenting kasi now is, ‘Tama na ‘yan, tigilan mo ‘yang social media?’ Why not involve it? Isama natin ‘yan sa growth nila. Sa twenty minute na klase namin with the kids, the parents of the kids, they get to see what their kids are doing inside the dance studio.

“They would have an overview on what kind of dance they do and how passionate their kids are, makikita nila ‘yon online. Babasahin namin ‘yung mga nagpa-popout na messages. Then I ask them, kapag nakakakita kayo ng bad messages how will you react? Will you feel sad? Depression is such a big word. Depression is such a strong word? Do you even know what that means? You can always say that you’re sad. Extreme sadness, that’s what depression is. But the kids, they love the term. It’s like humbhaaam!

“Nagiging outlet ito ng maraming tao, not just kids. We have classes for three years old, we have classes for sixty years old. Lalo na meron tayong quarter life crisis na tinatawag, mid-life crisis. This is an outlet and dancing really releases happy hormones. Magsayawan na lamang po tayo and stop comparing our lives on what we see on filtered lives of others.
