Sulaiman dadalo sa Pacquiao Elorde Awards Night

Si Manny Pacquiao kasama ang asawang si Jinkee sa isang event sa Saudi Arabia.

MANILA, Philippines – Darating si World Boxing Council (WBC) president Mauricio Sulaiman sa bansa para dumalo sa 1st Pacquiao Elorde Awards Night sa Marso 24 sa Okada Manila.

Ito ang sinabi ni boxing superstar at future hall of famer Manny Pacquiao kay Sulaiman na tatayong guest speaker ng event.

“He is a real good role model, and his leadership is really well respected in the whole boxing world," ani Pacquiao.

"I’m very happy to be associated with great Elorde in terms of recognizing and honoring our athletes.” dagdag ng 45-anyos na si 'Pacman'.

Ilang WBC crowns ang naisuot ni Pacquiao, ang nag-iisang eight-division champion, tampok ang paghablot sa WBC green belt belt sa flyweight category noong 1998.

Si Gabriel “Flash” Elorde ay ikukunsidera ng WBC bilang kanilang greatest super featherweight champion kung saan siya nagkampeon sa super featherweight division sa loob ng pitong taon simula noong 1960 hanggang 1967.

Ayon kay MP Promotions president Sean Gibbons, ang Pilipinas ay isa sa 11 founding countries ng WBC nang ilunsad ito noong Pebrero 14, 1963.

“It’s a grand return to history, as the Philippines was one of the founding nations of the WBC and during the late 1960s until the early 1970s, Filipinos were then its president and secretary-general too," ani Gibbons.

Ang tinutukoy niya ay sina Justiniano Montano Jr. na naging WBC president at secretary-general Rodrigo Saludna naglatag ng bylaws ng governing body.
