MANILA, Philippines — Para mas lalong mapaganda ang bakbakan ay magpapatupad ang Premier Volleyball League (PVL) ng video challenge system sa Reinforced Conference.
Ito ang inihayag kahapon ni PVL president Ricky Palou kung saan inaasahang magagamit na ito kaagad dahil magsisimula ang torneo sa Sabado sa Sta. Rosa Sports Complex sa Laguna.
“We have already ordered and paid for the video challenge,” wika ni Palou sa Reinforced Conference press conference na ginanap sa Discovery Suites sa Pasig City.
Manggagaling ang mga equipment sa Italy na inaasahang darating sa Oktubre 25.
“I think that was the end of July or August but they haven’t delivered it. I don’t know, for some reason, they’re saying that the cameras are not ready but the order has been there, they promised to deliver it, and we’re still waiting for it. But we will definitely have a video challenge,” ani Palou.
Malaki ang maitutulong nito para i-challenge ang mga posibleng maling tawag ng mga referees at line judges dahi nire-review ang video upang malamang kung tama o mali ang naging desisyon.
Ipatutupad ang single round robin sa eliminasyon.
Ang top four teams ang papasok sa semfiinals.
Isang round robin ang gagawin sa semis kung saan ang top two squads ang aabante sa best-of-three championship series.
Ang No. 3 at No. 4 sa semis ay maglalaban sa battle-for-bronze match.
Unang masisilayan ang bakbakan ng PLDT Home Fibr at United Auctioneers-Army sa alas-2:30 ng hapon kasunod ang engkuwentro ng Akari Chargers at back-to-back bronze medalist na Cignal sa alas-5:30 ng hapon.
