PSC, NSAs makikipagtulungan sa LGUs

MANILA, Philippines — Mangangailangan ng isang tripartite agreement ang Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) at National Sports Associations (NSAs) sa mga Local Government Units (LGUs) para sa ‘bubble’ training ng mga national athletes na sasabak sa 31st Southeast Asian Games sa Hanoi, Vietnam.

Ito ang sinabi kahapon ni Team Philippines Chef De Mission Ramon Fernandez sa online edition ng Philippine Sportswriters Association (PSA) Forum.

“That is going to be a tripartite agreement between the LGU, NSA and the PSC,” wika ni Fernandez. “This is the time where real teamwork is very much needed.”

Naisip ito ni Fernandez matapos ang pagtaas ng kaso ng mga nagpoposi-tibo sa COVID-19 sa mga PSC training facilities na Rizal Memorial Sports Complex sa Vito Cruz, Manila at sa Philsports Arena sa Pasig City.

Pinaghahandaan ng mga national athletes ang 2021 Vietnam SEA Games na nakatakda sa Nobyembre 21 hanggang Disyembre 2.

Ang ‘bubble’ training ng mga atleta sa iba’t ibang lungsod ang balak ni Fernandez para sa pagdedepensa ng Team Philippines sa overall crown ng SEA Games.

“We will discuss that further in the coming weeks,” ani Fernandez, isa ring Commissioner ng PSC. “There are a lot of very good world-class facilities.”

Ilan sa mga tinukoy ni Fernandez na mga lugar na maaaring pagdausan ng ‘bubble’ training ng mga national athletes ay ang Pangasinan, Tarlac, Antique, Boracay, Bicol at Ilocos Sur. (RCadayona)

“We should be able to do this at least in two months time so that we can hit the target of four months or three months before the (Vietnam) SEA Games na-train na iyong mga atleta natin,” sabi ni Fernandez.

Umaasa rin ang Chef De Mission na mabibigyan na ang mga Pinoy athletes ng COVID-19 vaccines sa buwan ng Hulyo o Agosto.

“Hopefully, by July or August man lang mabakunahan na iyong mga atleta siguro natin,” wika ni Fernandez. “Base on the schedule of the arrival of the vaccines baka makakaya natin ‘yung July or August.”
