Mojdeh bumasag ng PH Jr. record sa India

MANILA, Philippines — Muling bumasag ng Philippine national junior record si Swimming Pinas standout Micaela Jasmine Mojdeh sa girls’ 13-year 200m Individual Medley sa prestihiyosong 10th Asian Age Group Swimming Championship na ginaganap sa Padukone-Dravid Centre for Sports Excellence sa Bengaluru City, India.

Naitala ng 13-anyos Brent International School-Laguna student ang bagong rekord na dalawang minuto at 29.87 segundo sa preliminary round ng girls’ 14-under 200m IM category.

Tinabunan ni Mojdeh ang kanya ring dating national record na 2:30.31 na nairehistro sa 1st Philippine National Open na ginanap sa New Clark City sports complex sa Tarlac noong nakaraang buwan.

“It’s (Asian Age Group) one of the toughest tournaments with the presence of world-class junior swimmers from Japan and China. And we are happy that was able to break her PH junior record here. That alone is already an achievement,” ani Swimming Pinas team manager Joan Melissa Mojdeh.
