TV5, ESPN nagsanib-puwersa, sports coverage palalakasin

MANILA, Philippines — Mapapanood na ang mga mas komprehensibo at mas kapana-panabik na sports coverage sa Pilipinas.

Ito ay matapos pormal na inihayag kahapon ng TV5 Network, Inc. at ng ESPN ang kanilang kasunduan para sa isang long-term collaboration.

“ESPN’s focus around the world’s is simple: to serve sports fans,” wika ni ESPN APAC vice-president at ge­neral manager Mike Morrison.

“This long-term collaboration across television and digital allows us to jointly serve millions of sports fans in the Philippines with exceptional content and coverage.”

Ang Sports 5 ay tatawagin ngayong ESPN 5 at ibibigay sa Filipino audience ang mga pinakamalalaking sports coverage sa buong mundo na isasaere sa TV5 at Aksyon 41.

“Our partnership with ESPN, long recognized as the worldwide leader in sports, gives us tremendous upside in the quality of sports programming that we bring to the market,” wika naman ni TV5 president Chot Reyes.

Bibigyan din ng ESPN ang TV5 ng lisensya para sa higit sa 2,500 additional programming mula sa kanilang sports rights, original programming at studio programs.

Kabilang sa mga mapapanood sa ESPN 5 ay ang mga aksyon sa US college basketball, X Games, NFL Playoffs, Super Bowl at Pro Bowl. Mananatili pa rin sa ESPN 5 ang PBA, UFC, PSL at FIBA competitions.
