Mendez, Luistro mangunguna sa 20 MOS awardees

Ang mga MOS awardees kasama sina PSL president Susan Papa at Secretary General Maria Susan Benasa sa katatapos lang na 89th PSL National Series-Mayor Romulo ‘Kid’ Peña Swim Meet.

MANILA, Philippines – May 20 tankers ang ginawaran ng Most Outstanding Swimmer (MOS) trophies sa pagtatapos ng 89th Philippine Swimming League (PSL) National Series - Mayor Romulo “Kid” Peña Swim Meet na ginanap sa Makati Aquatic Sports Arena sa Makati City.

Nanguna sa mga pinarangalan sina Estelle Margaret Mendez ng Academy for Holistic Learning (girls’ 7) at Trump Christian Luistro ng Albay Falcon Swim Club (boys’ 7) na nangibabaw sa kani-kanilang dibisyon.

Itinanghal ring MOS sina Micaela Jasmine Mojdeh ng Immaculate Heart of Mary College-Parañaque (girls’ 9), Marc Bryan Dula ng Weissenheimer Academy (boys’ 8), Lans Rawlin Donato ng University of the Philippines (boys’ 15-over), Jerard Dominic Jacinto ng University of the East (boys’ 14) at Finn Jason Lock ng Aqua Bats (boys’ 9).

Ang iba pang nagwagi ay sina Zab Eugenio (girls’ 6-under), Raniel Bautista (boys’ 6-under), Heather White (girls’ 8), Joanna Amor Cervas (girls’ 10), Eirik Judel Rivera (boys’ 10), Kyla Soguilon (girls’ 11), Alexander Lamb (boys’ 11), Kyla Managuelod (girls’ 12), Zachie Gallegos (boys’ 12), Aliana Bequillo (girls’ 13), Nigel Anthony Romey (boys’ 13), Felice Alexis Reyes (girls’ 14) at Carmenrose Matabuena (girls’ 15-over).

May kabuuang 15 rekord ang nawasak sa naturang torneo tampok ang apat na bagong marka mula kay Mojdeh na naghahanda para sa 2016 Tokyo National Swimming Championship  sa Pebrero 4 hanggang 10.

“It is amazing how swimmers continue to improve and break records every swimming competition. New faces are coming and after a few months, they evolved. We will continue to motivate and inspire these young swimmers,” pahayag ni PSL President Susan Papa.

Ang naturang torneo ay qualifying event para sa international competitions kabilang na ang 2016 Indian Ocean All-Star Challenge sa Perth, Australia sa Marso at  2017 Summer World University Games  sa  Taiwan.
