MANILA, Philippines — Nagkaloob ang West Zone concessionaire Maynilad Water Services, Inc. (Maynilad) ng may 85 handwashing stations noong 2021 sa ibat ibang local government units (LGUs), public schools, at COVID-19 quarantine facilities bilang tulong ng kompanya sa pamahalaan sa mawakasan ang pandemic.
Mayroon ding 31 contactless handwashing stations ang nailagay ng Maynilad sa public markets, health centers, at city halls noong 2021. Nagkaloob din ang Maynilad ng 2,907 one-liter liquid hand soaps, 2,907 liters ng disinfectant, at 76 liters ng alcohol sa naturang mga stations.
Bukod pa ito sa naibigay ng Maynilad na 49 handwashing stations sa public schools na nagsilbing COVID-19 vaccination centers, at nakapagtayo ng 5 handwashing stations sa quarantine facilities sa ibat ibang concessione areas sa West Zone.
“While mobility restrictions have been eased in recent months, people still have to remain vigilant in the face of a COVID-19 surge. Access to handwash facilities makes it easier for the populace to fight the spread of infection and disease,” pahayag ni Maynilad President at CEO Ramoncito S. Fernandez.
