MANILA, Philippines — Naniniwala si Pasay City Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano na malalampasan ng lungsod ang koleksyon ng buwis noong nakaraang taon na P6.8 bilyon.
Anang alkalde, nakikita niya na dahil sa pagkakaroon ng iba’t ibang reporma upang hikayatin ang mga namumuhunan at panatilihin ang kanilang negosyo sa kabila ng pandemya.
Target ng Pasay LGU na maabot ang P7.1 bilyon para sa taong ito.
“For this year’s 1st quarter we have a 99% collection efficiency ra-ting. As the travel hub of the country where there were plenty of businesses that are based in our city, I could say that our revenue collections were not as robust as in the previous years before the pandemic, thus our financial standing has been greatly affected, but we are confident that we can ride through this (economic) storm” dagdag pa niya.
May mga inisyatiba ring ipinatupad para maalalayan ang big , medium at small firms para malagpasan ang pan-demya.
