Color coding, ‘no window policy’, suportado ng transport groups

MANILA, Philippines – Suportado ng ibat- ibang transport groups  ang ipinatutupad na color coding at ‘no window policy’ ng Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA).

Ayon kay Atty. Vigor Mendoza, chairman ng  1-United Alliance Transport Koalisyon (1-UTAK), aprubado at nilagdaan ng ibat-ibang transport groups ang implemen­tasyon ng color coding program at ‘no window policy’ ng MMDA  sa buong Metro Manila dahil malaki ang nabawas ng naturang hakbang sa mga sasakyan na dumadaan sa mga lansangan lalu na sa mga major routes.

Kaugnay nito, sinabi ni Zeny Maranan, na­tional president ng Federation of Jeepney Operators Dri­ver’s Associations of the Philippines (FEJODAP) na maganda ang ki­nalabasan ng naturang hakbang ng MMDA dahil nadagdagan ang kita ng mga driver ng pampa­saherong sasakyan.

Anya, dahil naibsan ng naturang hakbang ang traffic kaya nadagdagan ang kita ng mga pumapasadang passen­ger jeepneys sa Kalak­hang Maynila.

Mas mainam anya na buong araw ang color coding  at ipatupad din ito tuwing araw ng sabado.

Kaugnay nito, na­na­wagan naman si Or­­lando Marquez, national president ng Liga ng Trans­portasyon at Opereytor sa Pilipinas (LTOP) sa pamahalaan na magpatupad ng batas na magre-regulate sa pagbili ng mga sasak­yan upang makatulong ito sa pagsisikip ng daloy ng trapiko.

Giniit naman ni Obet Martin, national president ng PASANG MASDA na dapat magkaisa ang bawat mamamayan sa ipinaiiral na batas ng pamahalaan upang magkaroon ng pagbabago sa daloy ng trapiko.
