MANILA, Philippines — Nangako si Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte na dadagdagan ang sweldo ng mga guro ngayong taon.
Nangyari ang pahayag ilang araw matapos batikusin ng Alliance of Concerned Teachers (ACT) ang gobyerno dahil sa diumano'y planong paniniktik ng Philippine National Police sa mga militanteng guro.

Noong isang linggo, sinibak ni PNP chief Oscar Albayade ang ilang intelligence officers matapos sumingaw ang planong "pag-momonitor" sa ACT.
Pinalagan ng Commission on Human Rights ang diumano'y tangkang pag-iimbentaryo dahil nare-red-tag ang teachers bilang mga rebeldeng komunista.
