PBA opening tuloy!
MANILA, Philippines — "Hindi pwedeng mawala ang PBA sa Pilipino, or ang Pilipino mawala sa PBA. That’s why we’re all here."
Ito ang pahayag ni outgoing Philippine Basketball Association's chair at Rep. Mikee Romero nang humarap sa mga mamahayag ang buo at kumpletong Board of Governors ngayong Miyerkules.
Inisantabi muna ng iba’t ibang kinatawan ng mga koponan ang kanilang mga hindi pagkakasundo upang ihatid sa publiko ang pagbubukas ng 43rd season ng PBA sa Disyembre 17.
"I think we’re a very solid group at this point in time. Come December 17, as what we promised — [one] that did not come from me, [but] from all 12 teams. Any internal problems or whatever that we have, we will deal with it internally, within ourselves, within the 12 of us," sabi ni Romero.
"We don’t want to elaborate or any more matters. As we told you, this Sunday, what we should be watching are the players, the superstars of PH basketball. 43 years, ang masasabi ko lang, let the games begin," patuloy niya.

Higit isang buwan na mula nang manawagan ang ilang koponan sa pagbibitiw ni Commissioner Chito Narvasa kasunod ng kontrobersyal na trade sa pagitan ng Kia at ng San Miguel.
Dahil sa gusot ay hindi rin natuloy ang taunang planning sa Amerika kaya naman marami ang nagduda kung matutuloy ang pagbubukas ng panibagong season.
“There are a lot of plans. But definitely, what the board can promise you is that you’ll have an exciting year,” pahayag ni incoming PBA chairman Ramoncito Fernandez. “We’ll continue to make the PBA relevant to the Filipinos.”
