May pinanghuhugutan, Zanjoe natural ang pag-arte sa serye!

Bagama’t pang-apat na project na together nina Zanjoe Marudo at Cristine Reyes ang kanilang bagong series na Tubig at Langis, mas ‘di hamak na closer daw si Zanjoe kay Isabelle Daza, who is also in the cast.

Zanjoe and Isabelle used to be both commercial models pero ang Tubig at Langis ay ang first showbiz project together nila. In any case, while Cristine raw was not aware na, “kumbaga” may problemang dinadala sa kanyang dibdib si Zanjoe, obviously dahil sa recent break-up nila ng girlfriend of five years, Bea Alonzo, si Isabelle ay damang-dama ang paghihirap ng kalooban ng kaibigan.

At one time, naranasan na rin daw kasi ni Isabelle ang makipag-break sa boyfriend niya, also of five years.

In any case, ayon kay Cristine, napansin daw niya na higit na madamdamin ang pag-arte ni Zanjoe sa mga eksenang pinoproblema niya kung sino talaga between her and Isabelle ang kanyang papanigan.

Sa Tubig at Langis, supposedly si Cristine ang asawa ni Zanjoe. Na may anak sa isang lalaki, pero kay Zanjoe, wala.

Kay Isabelle siya magkaka-anak.

Directed by FM Reyes, Tubig at Langis has ample ‘hugot’ lines na ayon sa producer nitong si Direk Ruel Bayani, business unit, ay malamang maging bukambibig ng mga televiewers na tinitiyak nilang susubaybay sa series.

Tubig at Langis is due for airing February 1, after Doble Kara. Kapalit ito ng All of Me, which ends on Friday, January 28.

Tinalbugan pa si Sarah Matteo nanguna sa music charts

Don’t look now, but Matteo Guidicelli’s first album for Star Music simply titled Matteo Guidicelli, topped this week’s music chart.

Guess kung ano’ng number ang record ni Sarah Geronimo, Matteo’s confirmed girlfriend, Viva Record’s The Greatest Uknown? Number 3.

No. 2 ang album, titled Janella Salvador Repackaged, ni Janella Salvador for Star Music.

Ang album naman ni Alden Richards, Wish I May, for GMA Records, is No. 7.

Kasama si Matteo nina Enrique Gil at Liza Soberano sa bagong series na Dolce Amore, shot partly in Italy, directed by Cathy Garcia-Molina.

Vice Ganda naisip nang huminto sa showbiz

Ibinahagi ni Vice Ganda sa mga invited ng Star Cinema sa victory party for their Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) entry, Beauty and the Bestie, which Vice Ganda topbilled along with Coco Martin, how confused and depressed he felt prior to the filming of the movie.

Naging dahilan daw ito, why, for a time, naisip niya to quit showbiz. Based on what he has been hearing and reading about himself, parang wala siyang tamang ginawa within the year 2015.

Kaya, labis-labis daw ang pasasalamat niya sa mga executive ng Star Cinema at ABS-CBN, who went out of their ways not just to appease him but to make him realize what was really wrong with him.

“Hindi nila ako pinagalitan, pinangaralan lang,” matindi pang saad ni Vice Ganda. “Dahil sa ginawa nila, feeling ko talaga, isa akong Kapamilya.”

As of this writing, Beauty and the Bestie has reportedly grossed close to more than half billion, pero making it the top grossing film ever in local film history.

Well, take a bow Vice, Coco and the rest of the cast and production staff of Beauty and the Bestie. And most of all, Star Cinema managing director Malou Santos and Direk Olive Lamasan, for an excellent job.
