MANILA, Philippines — Inaprubahan ni Pa­ngulong Duterte ang rekomendasyon ng Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) na palawigin lang ang pagpapairal ng ge­neral community quarantine (GCQ) with heightened restrictions sa Metro Manila hanggang Agosto 15.

Binalewala ng Mala­cañang ang rekomendasyon ng OCTA Research na ‘two-week circuit breaker lockdown’ sa Metro Manila, simula sa Agosto 1 dahil sa pagdami ng COVID-19 cases, gayundin ang banta ng pagkalat ng Delta variant.

Ang quarantine classifications ng ilang lugar sa bansa; Enhanced Community Quarantine (Agosto 1-7) Iloilo City, Iloilo Province, Cagayan de Oro City at Gingoog CityModified ECQ (Agosto 1-15) Ilocos Norte, Bataan, Lapu-Lapu City, Mandaue City GCQ with heightened restrictions; Ilocos Sur, Cagayan, Bulacan, Laguna, Lucena City, Cavite, Rizal, Naga City, Antique, Aklan, Bacolod City at Capiz, Negros Oriental, Zamboanga del Sur, Misamis Oriental, Davao City, Davao del Norte, Davao de Oro, Davao Occidental at Butuan City.

Iiral ang GCQ sa buong buwan ng Agosto sa mga sumusunod na lugar; Baguio City, Apayao, City of Santiago, Isabela, Nueva Vizcaya at Quirino, Quezon Province, Batangas, Puerto Princesa City, Guimaras, Negros Occidental, Zamboanga Sibugay, City of Zamboanga, Zamboanga del Norte, Davao Oriental, Davao del Sur, Ge­neral Santos City, Sultan Kudarat, Sarangani, North Cotabato, South Cotabato, Agusan del Norte, Surigao del Norte, Agusan del Sur, Dinagat Islands at Surigao del Sur, at Cotabato City.

Ang mga natitirang lugar sa bansa ay inilagay sa MGCQ sa buong buwan ng Agosto.
