Eleazar, itinalaga ni Duterte na bagong PNP chief
MANILA, Philippines — Si Lt. General Guillermo Eleazar na ang susunod na hepe ng Philippine National Police (PNP) makaraang aprubahan ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte ang kanyang appointment.
Ito ang kinumpirma kahapon ni Interior Secretary Eduardo Año bilang kapalit sa puwesto ni outgoing PNP chief P/Gen. Debold Sinas na magreretiro sa Mayo 8, 2021.
“Eleazar is next Chief PNP,” ayon kay Año sa isang text message.
“President Duterte has just approved the appointment of PLt. Gen Guillermo Eleazar as the next Chief of Philippine National Police with the rank of Police General vice PGen Debold Sinas who retires on May 8, 2021,” aniya pa.
Sa pamamagitan ng National Police Commission (NAPOLCOM) resolution, inirekomenda si Eleazar na susunod na PNP chief base sa seniority, merit, reputasyon sa serbisyo at competence para pangunahan ang PNP.
Kumpiyansa rin si Año na “very qualified” si Eleazar sa naturang posisyon.
“I expect P/Lt. Gen Eleazar to lead the PNP Organization to greater heights amidst the pandemic during these challenging times,” pahayag ni Año. - Malou Escudero
