MANILA, Philippines — Nakauwi na ng Pilipinas ang overseas Filipino Worker (OFW) na si Rose Policarpio na nakaligtas sa death row sa pagpatay sa employer nito sa Saudi Arabia.

“This is a vindication of Ms. Policarpio and a clear declaration of her innocence. This is also a testament that the DFA and its people are willing to go the extra mile in order to protect and safeguard the rights of our kababayan wherever they are in the world,” saad ni Foreign Affairs Undersecretary Sarah Arriola.

Nakulong si Policarpio ng halos anim na taon bago mapatunayang walang sala. Naisaayos na naman ng DFA ang immigration penalties at exit visa ni Policarpio paglaya nito.
