MANILA, Philippines — Apat sa siyam na pulis na sangkot sa pamamaril sa Jolo, Sulu na ikinasawi ng apat na sundalo ang nagpositibo sa paraffin test at nag-match din ang mga basyo ng bala na narekober sa kanilang mga armas.
“Four firearms from the PNP had matched the recovered empty shells from the crime scene,” lahad ni NBI Deputy Director Antonio Pagatpat.
“The ballistics examination is still on-going, so it would depend now whether there would be additional matches from the empty shells against the firearms,” dagdag pa nito.
Isa pa sa tinitingnan ay ang trajectory ng ammunition para malaman kung sino ang mismong bumaril.
“Bina-validate pa ‘yung source kung hindi ito altered, hindi ito modified, walang tampering dito at pagkatapos nito, ng authentication, ay ipo-forward ito sa Manila upang i-process ng aming digital forensics,” giit ni NBI spokesperson Ferdinand Lavin.
