Morales, Prado bumandera sa criterium

MANILA, Philippines — Kinumpleto nina Jan Paul Morales at Jermyn Prado ang kanilang dou­ble-gold me­dal perfor­mance matapos pamu­nuan ang criterium races ng Philippine National Cycling Championships for Road kahapon sa McKinley West sa Ta­guig City.

Bumandera sa men at women elite road ra­ces (massed start) sa Su­bic, Olongapo City at Bataan noong nakaraang linggo, ipinarada ni­na Morales at Prado ang kanilang Standard In­surance-Philippine Navy uniform sa PhilCycling race na naging tampok sa PRUride PH 2018 ng PRU Life UK.

Namuno si Morales, isang veteran internatio­nalist na kumuha ng bronze medal noong 20­08 Asian Championship, sa naturang one-hour-plus-three-laps criterium na 1.10-km circuit.

Mag-isa niyang ti­nawid ang finish line pa­ra iwanan ng 1.386 se­gundo si national team mainstay George Oco­ner ng Go for Gold at 1.528 segundo si Dominic Perez ng 7-Eleven Roadbike Philippines.

Tinalo naman ni Pra­do si Singapore 28th SEA Games individual time trial gold meda­list Marella Salamat sa sprint finish.

Hinirang si Aidan Men­doza bilang men under-23 king ma­tapos iwa­nan sina Ronilla Qui­ta at Tomas Mojares sa labanan para sa top three places.

Tumapos naman sina Jere­my Gene Marana at Irish Wong bilang first at second placers, ayon sa pagkakasunod, sa wo­­men’s under-23 cate­gory.

Sina Pru Life UK Se­nior Vice President at Chief Marketing Offi­cer Allan Tumbaga at Prudential PLC Head of Sponsorship Diane Pen­­der ang nagsabit ng medalya sa mga nanalo sa simpleng seremonya sa McKinley West.
