MANILA, Philippines – Anumang araw ay inaasahan nang magdedesisyon si Filipino world eight-division champion Manny Pacquiao para sa kanyang magiging pinakahuling laban bago tuluyang magretiro sa susunod na taon.
Sinabi ni Bob Arum ng Top Rank Promotions na tanging si Pacquiao lamang ang pipili kung sino ang gusto niyang labanan sa hanay nina Amir Khan, Terence Crawford at Timothy Bradley, Jr.
Naniniwala si Arum na ang 28-anyos na si Khan, dating world light welterweight king, ang pipiliin ng 36-anyos na si Pacquiao para labanan sa Abril 9, 2016.
“I purposely kept myself out of it because at this point it doesn’t matter who Manny picks,” wika ni Arum sa panayam ng ESPN.com. “Would I prefer it not to be Khan? Yes, but this is Manny’s last fight. I have a duty to him to present him all of the options. Do I hope he doesn’t pick Khan though? Of course (because I don’t promote him), but I don’t think he will pick Khan.”
Nauna nang iminungkahi ni Arum na gawin ang laban nina Pacquiao at Khan, dating mag-sparmates sa ilalim ni trainer Freddie Roach sa Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
“Khan was an option when we considered having this fight in April in the Middle East, so he was a guy on the table. Now the Middle East is not on the table, but he’s still one of the guys on the table,” sabi ng promoter.
