MANILA, Philippines — Hindi napigilan ng Meralco si Stanley Pringle nang magwala ang Barangay Ginebra point guard sa third period sa Game Three ng 2019 PBA Governor’s Cup Finals noong Linggo.

Humugot ang Fil-American playmaker ng 17 sa kanyang 21 points sa nasabing yugto para tulungan ang Gin Kings sa 92-84 paggupo sa Bolts at kunin ang 2-1 bentahe sa kanilang best-of-seven championship series.

“It’s kind the way we play. We were able to get some stops and get on the open court,” sabi ni two-time PBA Grand Slam champion coach Tim Cone sa kanyang Ginebra.

Ang nasabing pana­nalasa ni Pringle ang inasahan ni Cone na makikita niya sa PBA Finals laban sa Meralco ni coach Norman Black.

“Stanley had a bunch of spectacular plays that really revved up the crowd. I thought just defensively, we did a much better job in terms of controlling some of the guys we want to control,” dagdag ng American mentor.

Nagposte naman si resident import Justin Brownlee ng 24 points, 9 rebounds at 9 assists habang humakot si flying forward Japeth Aguilar ng 23 markers, 7 blocks at 5 boards.

Matapos kunin ng Gin Kings ang 91-87 panalo sa Game One at inilusot naman ng Bolts ang 104-102 tagumpay sa Game Two.

Pipilitin ng Ginebra na maitayo ang malaking 3-1 bentahe sa serye sa Game Four bukas sa Smart Araneta Coliseum.

Ngunit tiyak na itatabla ng tropa ni Black,ang one-time PBA Grand Slam titlist, ang kanilang titular showdown.

“We got to have more energy. Everybody’s got to get better all around,” wika ni Durham.
