CCP architectural design competition

MANILA, Philippines - The Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP) is launching the CCP Architectural Design Competition for the Artists’ Center and Performing Arts Theater, a two-stage contest open to all Filipino architects who are part of duly registered architectural firms in the country.

Each participating architectural firm is required to submit building and landscape designs for both the CCP Artists’ Center and the Performing Arts Theater.

Phase 1 of the competition will select five finalists from among the participating firms. Phase 2 is the competition proper where the five finalists will be given six weeks to develop their designs for the two iconic buildings. The finalists will each receive a P75,000 grant to develop the designs for the two buildings.

The chosen architect(s) will be commissioned to create the final designs for the two new iconic structures based on his/their winning entry, as part of the CCP Complex master development plan, aimed at re-developing the 62-hectare property of the CCP, which will provide world-wide facilities for artists.

Entries should be submitted to Mr. Nestor Jardin, chairman, CCP Architectural Design Competition 3rd floor, Executive Offices Cultural Center of the Philippines Roxas Boulevard, Pasay City. Deadline for submission is March 29.
