Oasis in the urban jungle

The newest pop-up lounge in town, Botaniko Herbal Urban Lounge of Makati Shangri-La Manila,  is a central place that offers an escape from the hustle and bustle of the city.

The pop-up, situated at the outdoor area of the hotel’s Sage Bespoke Grill, is a garden getaway that features refreshing drinks, and appetizing food. This is the hotel’s second pop-up bar after The Den.

Botaniko is the hotel’s collaboration with Destileria Limtuaco and Company, which brings three of its leading creations to the urban lounge — Manille Liqueur de Calamansi, Manille Liqueur de Dalandan, and Intramuros Liqueur de Cacao.

With the creative mind of award-winning mixologist Clayton Munar, the lounge presents seven signature cocktails. Multi-awarded bartender Lester Ligon is the guest mixologist.

The pop-up also presents food choices created by Sage Bespoke Grill’s chef Sebastian Barcudes and his high focus on local products. Dishes include the US ribeye sandwich, fried ube and camote with cashew cheese, seared blue marlin tacos and many more, all created with sustainability in mind.
