Get ready for Matilda
Matilda the Musical is the story of an extraordinary girl who, armed with a vivid imagination and a sharp mind, dares to take a stand and change her own destiny.

Get ready for a magical ride as GWB Entertainment, along with GMG Productions and Virtus Live, brings to Manila the international tour of the multi award-winning show Matilda the Musical. The stage adaptation of the Roald Dahl classic was originally produced for the stage by the Royal Shakespeare Company (RSC).

Matilda the Musical will begin performances in Manila on March 5 at The Theatre at Solaire and will be running until March 22.

With book by Dennis Kelly and original songs by Tim Minchin, the musical is the story of an extraordinary girl who, armed with a vivid imagination and a sharp mind, dares to take a stand and change her own destiny.

Winner of over 85 international awards, including 16 for Best Musical, the musical is now on its seventh year in London. It was commissioned by the RSC in 2010, and is the recipient of a record-breaking seven 2012 Olivier Awards including Best Musical and a joint Best Actress Award for the four girls who shared the title role.

The production has sets and costumes by Tony Award winner Rob Howell, with choreography by Peter Darling, orchestrations, additional music and musical supervision by Christopher Nightingale, lighting by Tony Award winner Hugh Vanstone, and sound by Simon Baker.
