Stunning locks & harmony
THE PEPPER MILL - Pepper Teehankee (The Philippine Star) - November 1, 2013 - 12:00am

It was a night of beauty, music and art as Cream Silk presented the biggest and most beautiful demonstration of hair strength and beauty in the world.

The Cream Silk Hair Sonata featured the World’s First Hair Symphony Orchestra — the 42-piece ABS-CBN Philharmonic Orchestra, with 10 female members in the string ensemble using human hair bows. The popular hair-care brand promises 10 times stronger hair against hair fall. To demonstrate this, the brand collaborated with internationally renowned bow maker Paul S.J. Goh in creating Asia’s first human hair violin bow where the hair was strengthened and treated with Cream Silk Conditioner. The bow of the violin is usually made with hair from the tail of a horse.

Unilever hosted a musical showcase like no other with some of the country’s top personalities, celebrities and business moguls all gathered under one roof to celebrate the power of hair that was beyond strong and beyond beautiful.

The highlight of the night was the mixed media performance under the baton of Gerard Salonga. Guests witnessed a musical experience like no other with special performances from Ballet Philippines, as choreographed by Alden Lugnasin, and the premiere of an original short film, directed by Gus Cruz, starring the hair care brand’s muse Sam Pinto.

It was indeed a night to remember where strong hair was not just seen, but was also heard through a wonderful visual and audio experience!
