A night of imagination

THE PEPPER MILL - Pepper Teehankee - The Philippine Star

Hyatt Regency Hotel and Casino Manila  invited its valued clients and guests to take part in the “Hyatt Aces: Futurum.”

Sales and marketing director Jane Paulino and her team, in their desire to bring a space age-themed affair, introduced some of Gerry Katigbak’s futuristic fashion designs. Guests were greeted with space shuttle-inspired entrances, which took them into an imaginary world of the future. From the light, décor and food prepared by executive chef Josef Miklavc, guests were able to appreciate all the thoughtful touches that were uniquely Hyatt.

The exciting event was hosted by Karen Pamintuan. There were also raffle prizes given away, including a three-day and two-night stay at Grand Hyatt Bali with airfare from Cebu Pacific.

The highlight of the event was the 30-minute show with mimes, jugglers and LED dancers. There was also a laser entertainment show.

Here’s to Hyatt’s bright future!

A jewelry lover’s must-have card

Friends and clients of Jewelmer and PNB gathered recently at Salon de Ning of The Peninsula Manila for the launch of the Jewelmer Joaillerie PNB Platinum MasterCard.

A first in the country, this co-branding was presented by Jewelmer’s Manuel Cojuangco and Jacques Christophe Branellec, PNB’s Anthony Chua, Joven Hernandez and Sarah Navarro, and MasterCard’s Poch Villa-Real, Judith Marie Dayrit, Ailea Zialcita and Jo-Ann Camacho.

The event, hosted by Angel Aquino, was highlighted with a fashion show that presented Jewelmer Joaillerie pieces adorning the creations of designer Rhett Eala.

The credit card comes in a simple but elegant design, featuring a golden pearl that sits on a white oyster, with a black backdrop. The card’s exclusive features include 20 percent discount on Joaillerie pieces on the cardholder’s birthday month, loyalty gifts, 24/7 concierge, dual currency billing and zero percent interest for a 24-month installment.

The motoring world was abuzz recently when the newest go-to site pinoyautotrader.com.ph was acquired by sulit.com.ph, one of the country’s top buy-and-sell websites. Aiming to become the market leader in business-to-consumer marketing for the entire domestic automotive industry, Pinoy Auto Trader has the widest collection of pre-owned and brand-new cars not matched by any other platform.

As for sellers, they will be able to be in “two places at once” by posting advertisements on both Pinoy Auto Trader and Sulit simultaneously for free, giving them more exposure than any other car listing website in the country. Pinoy Auto Trader also presented the improved look of its site, packing complete car specs, verified dealership information, access to social media and car reviews courtesy of C! Magazine.

The event was spearheaded by sulit.com.ph’s founders managing director RJ David and head of operations Arianne David and the men behind Pinoy Auto Trader — CEO Daniel Scott, COO Christopher Franks and chief technical officer Reynaldo Castellano III.

Janna Abrera hosted the program, which included an audio-visual presentation of the site’s features and an open forum with the members of lifestyle, motoring and business reporters.
