THE PEPPER MILL - Pepper Teehankee - The Philippine Star

Shiseido held an exclusive makeup workshop at the Amphitheater of Greenbelt 5 recently. Gracing the event was its regional training manager for Asia, Angela Boh, who conducted a demonstration of Shiseido’s 2012 Autumn/Winter collection to a small group of handpicked friends from the print media and blogosphere.

Makeup areas and workshop kits containing supplementary Shiseido facts and guidelines were provided for each guest. Angela generously shared her expertise about makeup techniques through a live demonstration. She gave the guests tips from the basics of applying foundation down to the appropriate color combinations for eye shadow and lipstick.

Top picks from Shiseido’s 2012 Autumn/Winter makeup collection were used in the demonstration. These included Radiant Lifting Foundation — a new foundation that takes the reflective properties of light into play to create an illuminated base; Camellia Compact — a soft, velvety highlighter and blush compact that leaves a natural flush after application; and Lacquer Rouge collection — a collection of intense and glossy lip colors inspired by Japanese lacquer artistry.

Guests were given a challenge of bringing out the natural beauty of their models by applying them makeup the “Shiseido way.” Agoo Bengzon and Angela Nepomuceno were awarded for creating the best makeup look and were treated to a P25,000-shopping spree from the cosmetics brand.

All guests were awarded certificates of participation and gift boxes from Shiseido.
