Carat Philippines Bags Two Yahoo! Philippines Digital Awards

Marketers are always looking for new, exciting, innovative and cost-efficient ways of reaching out to the consumers and now more than ever, they are seeing the opportunities in digital because of the reach and the flexibility and dynamism of the medium. Currently, the Philippines has about 30 million internet users, a huge jump from a mere 2 million ten years ago.

To keep up with this rapid change in the media landscape, Carat Philippines put together a team of digital experts to give their clients the edge they need to be ahead of the race in being present if not owning the digital market. And in just two short years after the inception of its digital team, Carat is now seen as a major player in the Philippine digital marketing space by both clients and media suppliers.

The most recent proof to Carat Philippines’ excellence and leadership in digital are the two awards given to them by Yahoo! Philippines during the Yahoo Year End Party held last November 18, 2010 at the Encore Superclub , The Fort. The awards are for Best Digital Act of the Year and Most Promising Agency of the Year.

The award for Best Digital Act of the Year is given to the agency who has successfully integrated offline, mobile, on-ground and online executions in many if not all their clients’ campaigns.

The Most Promising Agency Award is given to the agency that has actively and aggressively pushed the implementation of digital campaigns to as many of their clients as possible this year.

According to Yahoo! Philippines, “Carat is given this award for not only pushing the envelope with clients like Nokia and Wyeth, but for always being the first to implement new & exciting rich media executions.  Carat has consistently shown excellence in digital media planning, using insights and research to drive effective and engaging executions on the Yahoo! network for their growing portfolio of clients.”

Carat maximized the digital medium and always saw to it that out of the box rich media executions played alongside a carefully planned display, mobile and search campaign plans. They were the first agency to seek out Yahoo! Mail Log-in and also the first to do CRM effort on online banners.

This is the first time that Yahoo! Philippines has given awards to media agencies and brands to recognize their media partners’ digital marketing efforts and initiatives.

Carat Philippines is the first and only true media independent. It is part of the global Carat network of the Aegis Group Plc, the largest independent media agency with more than 7,000 staff in 63 countries. From a six-man team in 1998, Carat Philippines now employs over 30 people and is one of the leading media agencies in the Philippines.
