"Excited na ako manalo, hindi para sa sarili ko, pero para sa ating mga kababayan na umaasa na mayroong mamumuno sa kanila na hindi sila pababayaan," Robredo, running under the banner of the Liberal Party, said in her closing statement at the Commission on Elections-initiated debate aired over CNN Philippines.

She also teased her five rivals for the vice presidency, "May the best woman win." Robredo is the only woman among the six candidates.
