CCP clarifies news on new prexy

MANILA, Philippines - We are writing you with regards to the article “GMA names new CCP President” on page 5 of The Philippine STAR published yesterday, Sept. 16. We would like to make a clarification on the matter. While Cultural Center of the Philippines Board of Trustees has indeed received the letters from Malacañang regarding the appointment of Mr. Antonio S. Yap as trustee of the CCP, the CCP Board of Trustees has NOT yet undertaken his election to the Board. — CCP Board of Trustees
